Every roadmap establishes a series of actions aimed at reaching a goal. That of LIFE Soria ForestaAdapt goes through the establishment of a series of functional actions (preparatory and coordination) and another large group of technical actions, such as conservation, monitoring, dissemination and dissemination. Get to know each of them in detail.


Preparatory actions

A1.- Presentations, meetings, and informative talks.
A2.- Baseline report with climatic data on growth, damage and regeneration of forest stands.
A3.- Selection of 15 pilot areas, signing of agreements. Report on the evolution of forest species, historical harvests, non-timber products and associated services.
A4.- Preliminary compilation of sustainable adaptation measures.
A5.- Phytoclimatic study in 1 km grid and future projection of phytoclimatic models.

Conservation actions

C1.- IT tool for adaptation to climate change for the forestry sector and associated services (based on the one developed in "LIFE AgriAdapt" LIFE15 CCA/DE/000072).
C2.- Technical management reference with adaptation measures applicable to 15 Management Plans.
C3.- Modification of the "Four Zone Notebooks" of the province of Soria.
C4.- Development of adaptation measures for non-timber production and other ecosystem services.
C5.- Compilation of results and proposals for adaptive forest management.
C6.- Transfer of results and proposals to orders, legislation and public aid at regional, national, and European level.
C7.- Adaptive measures in PEFC and FSC certifications and inclusion of 15,000 new ha in these certifications.
C8.- Support for strategies to adapt the forestry sector to climate change from the CSR policy of the Spanish business sector.

Monitoring actions

D1.- Monitoring of the 15 management plans, 4 zone notebooks and their application.
D2.- Bryophytes and lichens as indicators of the impact of climate change and the effectiveness of the actions undertaken.
D3.- Updated Geographic Information System including new layers of information with data and actions undertaken.
D4.- Socioeconomic impact assessment indicators.


E1.- General communication and dissemination.
E2.- Local awareness campaigns and training of technical managers.
E3.- Elaboration and dissemination of multimedia material.
