The LIFE Soria ForestAdapt project investigates what the "forests of the future" will look like, in the face of threats such as climate change that can lead to scenarios in which these habitats will have less water availability, higher temperatures, greater soil erosion or greater risk of forest fires. For this we have created a complete package of actions whose results can be seen here
Forests are true natural jewels that provide great environmental, economic and socio-cultural services. To preserve them, we will use methodologies and tools that allow us to know how key species adapt to climate change in each place. We start in Soria and we will expand to Castilla y León. To do this, we collect data, create very specific tools and generate alliances.
Forests must be managed, and this management must be adapted to the effects of climate change. As an essential element of the ecosystem, the human being has the responsibility of exercising a large part of this management. From the LIFE Soria ForestAdapt project we seek to include climate change adaptation strategies in public and private forest management plans. We explain it in videos and reports at the foot of the forest.
We invite you to interact with us and to know the last hour of the project through social networks.
